TSC Alliance plans walk for May 31

Northbrook’s Geri Greenberg is on the move these days. Greenberg’s grandson Derrick has had Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, diagnosed before he was born, and she’s hoping to raise awareness of this disease, a leading genetic cause of epilepsy and autism, and funds to fight it.

Along with members of the national TSC Alliance, Greenberg visited congressmen and senators in Washington, D.C., early in March. Greenberg is also heading up the annual “Step Forward to Cure TSC” walk, set for May 31 in Ty Warner Park, Westmont. Walkers are encouraged to wear superhero costumes to show their determination to cure TSC.

Those interested in volunteering, donating or walking can contact Greenberg at ger7777@yahoo.com or call (847) 272-7747 or (847) 477-1817.
