Richard Zemel joins Charter One

Richard Zemel, 55, a long-time resident of Highland Park, joined Charter One as a mortgage loan officer. His office is in Deerfield.

Zemel originates a wide range of mortgage loan programs, including both conventional and government loans. Charter One’s expanded capabilities and programs, including jumbo and construction loans originated for portfolio, enable him to meet a variety of home financing needs.

Zemel has been in the mortgage business for eight years. He came to Charter One from Bank of America, where he was a loan officer. He previously owned a retail store in downtown Highland Park.

He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a bachelor’s degree.
