Deerfield and Riverwoods police blotter for Oct. 24 - Oct. 30, 2012

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Deerfield and Riverwoods police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Riverwoods
DUI
Jose Luis Garcia, 35, of 915 Westmoreland Drive, Vernon Hills, was arrested at 2:26 a.m. Oct. 27 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for speeding after he was taken into custody at Lake-Cook Road and Interstate-294. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 28 in Waukegan.
Jargalsaikhan Tsogtoo, 36, of 16100 Linden Ave., Shoreline, Wash., was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Oct. 28 and charged with driving with an open container of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for driving on expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle after he was taken into custody at Milwaukee Avenue and Wolf Road. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 28 in Waukegan.
Deerfield
BURGLARY
An Apple Airbook laptop and a camera were stolen sometime between 7:10 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. on the 600 block of Deerfield Road.
TRAFFIC
Urbano Carranza, 46, of 6085 Sunset Road, Highland Park, was arrested at 5 a.m. Oct. 25 and charged with driving without a license. He was taken into custody at the corner of Deerfield and Waukegan roads. His next court date is Dec. 4 at the Greanleaf Branch courthouse.
Kyle S. Kelly, 23, of 1021 Central Ave., Deerfield, was arrested at 4:40 a.m. Oct. 24 and charged with driving on a revoked license. He was taken into custody near the corner of Pine Street and Dartmouth Lane. His next court date is Nov. 20 in Park City.
THEFT
Lamar K. Powells, 41, of 1554 S. Homan Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 24 and charged with retail theft. According to the police report, Powells allegedly stole tequila and vodka bottles from the Jewel grocery store, 16 S. Waukegan Road. His next court date is Nov. 21 at the Skokie courthouse.
A license plate was stolen sometime last week on the 500 block of Woodvale Ave.
