Two nabbed in Deerfield Township armed robbery

DEERFIELD — The two suspects wanted for an armed robbery of a gas station in unincorporated Deerfield Township were arrested this week during the Lake County Sheriff’s Office warrants sweep.
Michael Swanson, 19, of the 100 Block of Wilshire Drive, in Wheeling, and Irvin Vaysburg, 19, of the 1000 Block of Sheridan Road, in Buffalo Grove, were charged with armed robbery.
Both are being held on $250,000 bond.
The robbery was July 2, 2012 at the Speedway Gas Station, 1010 Milwaukee Ave. in unincorporated Deerfield.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division obtained Class X armed robbery arrest warrants for Swanson and Vaysburg on Feb. 28 after working in collaboration with Wheeling Police Department. The warrants were served as part of the largest ever Lake County Warrants sweep.
Swanson is scheduled to appear in Lake County Circuit Court March 25 and Vaysburg is scheduled to appear in court on March 4.~.
