Deerfield resident Andrea Sterenstein, a junior at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, founded U.S. Children’s Medical Assistance Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity in 2011. The mission of USCMAF is to improve the lives and enhance the self-esteem of children ages birth to 18 in the U.S. from low to moderate income families, based on Federal Poverty Guidelines, through medical treatment of physical disfigurements, enabling them to lead more mainstream, active lives.
USC’s first fundraising event, “Spring is in the Air” Affair will be held March 16-17 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 1074 Knollwood Road, Deerfield. The affair will showcase and sell beautiful items offered in the organization’s year-round Shop On Line. All profit will benefit USCMAF. The public is invited.
