Moonlight Golf outing Sept. 14
Updated: September 3, 2012 6:04AM
DEERFIELD — Up to six golfers per team, age 21 and above, may sign up now for Moonlight Golf at Deerfield Golf Club, set for Sept. 14. Glow-in-the-Dark Golf gets underway after sunset. A great dinner, contests and more begin at 5:45 or 6 p.m. Activities include putting and chipping contests with prizes, team and individual prizes, raffles, a silent auction, beverages and desserts.
All included at an Early Bird rate of $400 for teams registering by Aug. 31. Players walk the course, playing five holes under the stars, with a four-club limit per player (three clubs plus putter). Up to 20 teams may participate in this outing sponsored by Deerfield Park Foundation.
Moonlight Golf is a best-ball scramble outing, so players do not need to have a lot of golf expertise. There is an orientation for everyone prior to players getting to their first hole, many of whom are taken by hayrack to start. The $400 team rate goes up to $480 after Aug. 31 and the registration deadline is Sept. 7.
