Community Engagement Meeting
High School District 113 held its first community engagement meeting Sept. 4 in which architects from the firm Perkins + Will updated community members on their facilities study of Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools.
The power point that they showed to the audience is available on the District 113 website,www.dist113.org.
The presentation outlines the architects’ work to date and includes an explanation of the master planning process. Master planning is a work in progress and the district urges community members to review the material.
In addition, the district encourages community members to learn more about the analysis of the HPHS 1914 buildings conducted by Building Technology Consultants (BTC) by watching a short video summarizing their work. The BTC video is available at www.dist113.org/Pages/VIDEO-District-113-Tests-HPHS-100-year-Old-Buildings-.aspx.
The entire community engagement meeting was videotaped and is available at http://www.ihsa.tv/deerfield/events/39043.
The next community engagement meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Highland Park High School auditorium.
