Two of children’s favorite things will merge on Lambs Farm Train Day, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at 14245 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville — model trains and circuses.

Communications Coordinator Natasha Taylor noted that the annual model train event has expanded this year. In addition to the NCOG Model Railroad Club, “We brought in the Circus Model Builders Club,” she said.

At Magnolia Cafe & Bakery, kids can operate a Thomas the Tank Engine train. Other model trains will be running. “Some have a circus theme,” Taylor noted. There will be circus- and train-related activities there for free or for a small charge.

Circus models will be displayed at the Visitors Center.

For $2, you can purchase a Boarding Pass for your child which entitles them to receive a train- or circus-related gift from each Lambs Farm business. “Not only does it give them exposure to what we have on campus,” Taylor said, “they get a lot for $2.”
